Kids for sale- see our 2015 kids page!
We retain breeders rights on all kids born here,  having said that, we keep very few kids for ourselves and try to prestate our intentions for kid keeping.  We ARE taking deposits on our 2016 kid crop.    We will start kidding about late February most years and should finish about April 1st.   Our herd is smaller than in previous years.  Don't wait long if you want a possible milker, sr buck, doeling or buckling from us.

2015 kids fall breeding plans.  Kid prices may go up after kids are born if not presold.   As we approach fall I may switch a couple of breedings around as I have more time to contemplate matches,  but this looks real good right now.  All three bucks are supherb.

BUCKLING PRICE on 2nd or later fresheners BEFORE THEY ARE BORN for 2016:   $550!!!  Get your deposits in,  after birth and doeling prices listed below!
Yodel x
Blau Enzian
Duchess x
Emerald x
Edelweiss x

FIRST FRESHENERS- PREBORN BUCKLING PRICE $325 each, get your deposits in!  After birth and doeling prices listed below.
Faith x                           $400
Fiona x                          $400
Felda x                          $400
Frittalaria x                   $400
Firenza x                          $400

We require a $100 deposit to reserve your kid of choice.  Please also make a 2nd choice.  Deposits are refundable if and only if we do not have your choices born or it is not of the quality that we want to have out there.   We rarely exercise our right to keep any kid born here for the continuation of our lines but at times do need to keep a herd replacement so do keep first rights on all kids born here.  We must keep our herd small due to our schedules.  Buyer is responsible for any airfare, kennel and health certificate costs.  Ground transportation is arranged by you to fit with our schedule.  Air transportation around the US will be arranged for you by us to work with our and your schedules.  Kids can be boarded here for free until they reach 5 weeks of age, after that a daily board fee of $3 will be charged.    Kids purchased after their birth need to be paid in full and transported by the time they are 5 weeks old or within 2 weeks of purchase- whichever is later or board will be charged.

Any milkers 6 years old or younger sold are usually $750 starting price.  Sometimes sr bucks are released for sale as we like to keep sons out of bucks we like to reinfuse into our herd.  They must ground transport.

We do still have a happy but probably out of eggs to produce babies Rosine at 13 years old- still romps around like a yearling.   We also have 11 year old Timbrel for the matrons of the herd who runs around the pasture even with her stiff tendon damaged leg.   9 1/2 Year old Valiant also still lives here and expects his daily scratches.  He did pass away in January 2014 at almost 10 years old and is with his Good Shepherd.  They are not for sale but are retired.

We may part with 1 to 3 milkers each year.  Contact us ONLY if you are serious, have ability to pay when contacting us if you like what we have (paypal and credit card require a 3.5% addition for what we are charged), and can arrange the transportation within 2 - 4 weeks of purchase.  Failure to follow through on purchases forfeits goat/s and money to Fir Meadow LLC.  Absolutely no goats leave the farm without goat and any other costs paid for in full and cleared by our bank.

Ok Ok!  We give....   If they are in our herd they are 'one of our favorite does" or they wouldn't be here :O).  We expect that each one has genetic value in improving the lamancha breed- something we strive for in our breeding program....  Temperment is also very important to us and we have repeatly received compliments (and repeat customers) on the temperments of the Fir Meadow stock...

Lovable, huggable, quiet temperament!  Tall and upstanding, long bone patten with one of the widest rear udders in the show circuit. And she milks: 4-0 3166.  She appraised E on shoulder assembly, rear legs, back & rump on younger appraisals.  Her 2007 5yo appraisal is after she lost a lot of weight from a mycotoxin (moldy sunflower seed) poisening.  Our appraiser said if we could have gotten the weight on and had her scored a couple months later he could see her at 90...  She is holding up well though milking so heavy- still grabbing some BOB in !  Rosine & her dam,  produce awesome kids.   Rosine's '04 maternal sister was in the spotlight sale.   We have LA 90 son Tob V in our herd. We have been using her 07 son on our 07 doelings (he is yet for sale and is really really gorgeous!)  Rosine's paternal brother, Redemption, earned his first GCH leg as a 3yo at the Dist 8 lamancha specialty.  06 Son, Whatta Thrill! by Valiant has 5 jr Ch's in.   Daughters, Wiese- 4 x dry GCH and two BJDIS, 2008- 2x RGCH, 1x GCH, & Xochitl GCh dry leg, with 1st/1st udders as a yearling in 2008.      Both Rosine daughters are now finished with Best in Show wins and her son is also finished with a Best in Show win.  All 3 of her kids are LA 91!  Update- 2011, her 4 year old is now LA 92!
To our surprise she has kidded in 2015 as a thirteen year old and is back in milk. See precious daughter MaiFest.

Nice sharp dairy looking gal like her dam,  we are so pleased to have her!  Timbrel freshened with a beautiful beautiful udder and is among the best lamanchas we think we have bred, also with a wonderful temperment. She is a smaller lamancha so gets looked over some,  but don't miss her- she's been LA 90 and IS a pretty package with a sweet quiet temperment.  Her '09 son went jr champion aop's in with alpines/saanens in both rings in Calif for his owner.

Timbrel's Aug 2011 movie. You'll see her left foreleg at the knee wasn't splinted correctly so didn't heal correct. She still moves around real well and without pain.

as you can see from her page,  Rosemary is often RGCH, so still a very nice doe and Valiant I think upped the quality another notch with this Yarrow!   Yarrow freshened with every bit of a Valiant mammary that we could hope for and she's off to a great start for milk.   She will be retained for the show and milk string.     She is an extremely efficient doe requiring almost no grain to milk well from her productive mammary.   She is producing nice milky daughters also. She just improves with each year- her 7 yo appraisal score coming in at 91 EEEE! We have grandaughter Frittalaria in the herd as well as son Exclusive.

Yodel is really a looker all the way around (when she stands :O)  )....    Yodel still looks great as a dry yearling- very correct, very strong feet and legs, dairy, and nice breed character....  She can be a goof sometimes at the shows- wanting to twist her head and walk weird,  but we think we have her worked through that as she does walk very straight and pretty - getting 1sts and a dry leg GCH in :O).  Her maternal aunt is Whimsical.  Doeling daughter Bavaria has an RGCH in.

Yodel almost has met all three goals- LA90, should be over 3000# milk now w/ high fat, and needs 1 milking leg to finish her SGCH.   If we could count the 5 milking RGCH's.....  :)

We just can not say enough about this beautiful strong growthy correct kid.   We are looking forward to great things from her as she matures.  Oh what a real pretty and milky udder this doe has freshened with.   8 days fresh at milking 6.2 lbs. Very nice.  She is currently roached in the rump from kidding, but the vertebrae are beginning to settle back down.  As they do her pretty flat rump and angle will come back.

Due to Desi's late birth day we decided to keep her a dry yearling, even though we could have bred her late in the season.     She is a 3/4 sister to Cherish and is every bit as beautiful.  Very consistent.   We will have fun watching her mature.   Due to her late birth she is a rather spoiled doeling and I'm not sure she knows she's a goat...    Her photo shows her in a growth stage where she is rump high,  but she has grown through that funky stage.  As a dry yearling she still thinks Jerry and I are her parents and requires some attention every day :) .

We were really really pleased when Enzian presented us with beautiful doelings!  We think so highly of her that we have used her son in her breeding program and will now be using her grandson, Exclusive.   A beautiful, strong, smoothly blending doeling for us to watch mature.  I am extremely pleased with the Daniel kids and temperments.  Due in May 2015. Udder looking nice thus far.

Very correct and darling sungau doeling from her beautiful with best udder in show winning dam.  We love the smooth blending and rear leg set on this doeling as well as her huggability.   She has been purchased and will be moving to Idaho.   I have kept her littermate brother as a jr herdsire this year.   I absolutely love this doeling and she was a presale, that the buyer decided to get a milker from us instead,  so we are very pleased to have her staying in our herd.  Beautiful doe,  fancy udder, comes into the milkroom FULL of milk even though she only singled this first kidding so I'm expecting a very good milker here.  Keeping her 2015 daughter Frittalaria in the herd.

Oh what a beautiful and correct little Emmie doeling we have here and of course she has managed to worm her way into my heart.  Her mother freshened with another very beautiful mammary that milks well- 6 days fresh and already 3.2 # in 12 hours.  Emmie's dam is milking over 7#'s already just over 1 month fresh from the picture perfect udder that is full of milk tissue, not meaty tissue and is one of our housemilk goats.  She milked over 2000# as a yearling from a very sound and well attached mammary.  Emmies' dam is milking strong her 2nd year and coming into the milkroom serious to milk.  Emerald freshened this first year with every bit of the udder and milk I have come to expect from this line.  this is an exceptionally beautiful doe.  We have kept daughter Faith and offer very nice daughter Fjell (fee-el) for sale.
